-Danny Granger left Friday night's game early with an ankle sprain. It's not believed to be too serious but given his injury past, it's definitely something to note. Granger will have a legit point guard in Darren Collison and Roy Hibbert is supposed to take the next step. Both developments can only help Granger's fantasy prospects if he stays healthy.
-There's some guy named Blake Griffin who keeps tearing things up. He only put up 24 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks and a steal on Thursday. It's like he was expected to be the rookie of the year last season or something. Seriously, you'll need to "reach" to get Griffin (think the 40-50 pick) and I'm sure you'll be happy come season's end.
-Kelenna Azubuike could be out another two months. He was a nice sleeper in NY, leave him alone for now.
-Donte Greene could start at small forward for the Kings. I'm guessing at 6' 11" he'll be the tallest small forward in the league. In deeper leagues he's a great sleeper.
-There are injuries in Miami. Until I see them miss regular season games, I'm not worried about it.
-J.J. Redick has put together a nice preseason. I could speak of him later this week (see below).
-Carmelo Anthony is going off despite wanting a trade, narrowly missing a triple-double with a 30-point, 14-rebound and nine assist effort on Thursday. It was kind of crazy but he was a second to third round pick in fantasy circles last year.
-Antawn Jamison left Thursday's game with a knee sprain. This appears to be minor but I'm not a huge fan this season. There's fantasy "diamonds in the rough" in Cleveland that I'll talk about in a few days.
-Gilbert Arenas left Thursday's game with a groin strain. Or at least that's the story it could be he wanted to get Nick Young more playing time. If not real, it could bill him another 50K. He might have to sell some armory to cover that.
-From the "wait with baited breath department" I'll be coming out with my preseason "Under The Radar" column over the next few days (see early next week). I'll be looking at 100+ ADP guys to fill the end of your fantasy squad.
