-Darren McFadden (hamstring) has been ruled out of the Raiders first preseason game. Look for Michael Bush to have the opportunity of locking up the #1 RB spot and toss his name into the sleeper discussion. I think it's safe to put the "injury prone" tag on Run DMC.
-Sam Bradford is turning heads and impressing during Rams practices. Even if A.J. Feeley is under center come Week 1, expect to see Bradford take over that role soon after.
-Thomas Jones currently sits as the #1 RB in Kansas City in front of Jamaal Charles. I don't buy into Jones getting more carries than Charles and you shouldn't either. It's almost as if Todd Haley thinks he's motivating players (think Dwayne Bowe last season) by shorting them. Hope that this lets Charles slide in your drafts to a spot where he becomes a good value.
-Laurence Maroney is listed at the top of New England's RB depth chart. The Patriots backfield has plenty of depth so it's pretty tough to recommend one guy over the other. Maroney did have a nice stretch from Weeks 9-15 until a case of fumblitis led to his benching. Still only 25, he's definitely worth a gamble using a late-round pick.
-The Jets are far apart from signing Darrelle Revis and will not explore trading him according to GM Mike Tannenbaum. This seems to be getting uglier by the minute. The Jets appear to be taking a stand with Revis and fans should prepare themselves for a Revis-less start to the season. Stay tuned.
-Nnamdi Asomugha will line up on both sides of the field, not just at right cornerback. This move makes a ton of sense as he'll have the opportunity to shut down the opposing team's top WR.
-A day after being carted off the field, Chris Wells was back on taking reps during 11-on-11 drills. Looks like he should be just fine.
