I know Scott used this one earlier this year, but it's worth another run: some people, even pros, won't handicap baseball. They can't handle the swings.
A ridiculous roller coaster over the past few picking days leaves us more or less where we started, up 18 units with the All-Star break approaching. If there's one lesson to be learned over the last week, it's this: the process has to be a matter of independent trials. The picks made one day, the results of that day, have nothing to do with the next. Each pick is, in itself, an independent trial, and you have to treat them all that way.
By the way, if you're new here, I'm your host, The Meanest Meanie on the Internet.
San Diego/Washington over 7.5 (-115), one unit. Combination of thinking little of Luis Atilano and what will be a long run of fading Padres' starters on the road.
Cincinnati -111, one unit. .Kyle Kendrick fade.
Chicago (NL)/Los Angeles (NL) under 7 (-115), one unit. Loving Clayton Kershaw, who might have been an NL All-Star, in a low-scoring game thanks to a meh Dodgers lineup.
