The Brewers/Pirates loss last Thursday was so bad--4-3 after 3 1/2 innings, 4-3 final, missing the over 9--that it chased my across the country and off picking for a week.
Well, not quite; my trip was planned before that game began, but it was a bad loss, and the timing of my vacation couldn't have been better. I hadn't planned to stay off selections for this long, but it can be hard to get in the work when you're in the Pacific Time Zone, so it's been eight days since I've posted. Let's jump right into the picks for tonight:
Houston +115, one unit. I know I'm getting a significantly better starting pitcher, although I expected the return here to be a bit higher. The Reds may be a little overvalued at the moment, although this line says otherwise. In any case, I'm back on Wandy.
Oakland -102, two units. Straight fade of Dontrelle Willis. Willis has an ERA above 6.00 and more walks than strikeouts when not facing the Twins.
Milwaukee -109, one unit. Yovani Gallardo as a short favorite with his Brewers facing a southpaw. I love me some Johan Santana, but this is worth a play.
Seattle -108, one unit. Cliff Lee over Scott Kazmir. I'm not making it two units because the Mariners are pretty bad.
