Picks, 4|FRONTS|23|FRONTS|10

Sorry for no post yesterday, but there was just one game I liked, off of two the day before, and it seemed unnecessary. If you didn't catch it, I posted yesterday's play in the comments section of Wednesday's post, something I may do going forward on days when I can't get a post up or need to catch an early game separate from the bulk of the schedule.

Wednesday:

Cincinnati +136. We might be off Aaron Harang for a while. He's getting ripped.

Chicago (NL)/New York (NL) over 8.5. Oliver Perez and the Cubs bullpen, the mother's milk of totals betting.

Thursday:

Oakland +170. If there's a weakness in the Yankees' game, it'll be in facing left-handers. They have to give up defense or offense when they face southpaws, and sometimes both in various spots.

Tonight's action:

Los Angeles (NL)/Washington over 10 (+100), two units. Let's see...one marginal starter, one pseudo-prospect called up for the day, two bad bullpens, one very good offense. The Nationals may well play a fan in right field tonight, but it still works for me.

Texas -120. Rich Harden is a wild card. Nonetheless, I'll take the power righty at home against the RHB-heavy Tigers as the Justin Smoak Era begins.

I'm passing on Ricky Nolasco. The Rockies are that good.
