Justin Verlander threw a lot of high-leverage innings last year down the stretch. There's no question about his skills, but I won't pay retail for him. I'd take Rick Porcello, who keeps the ball down and came on at the end of the year, over Max Scherzer. Who knows what to make of Jeremy Bonderman? Keep in mind Bonderman wasn't even that good when he was healthy.
Jose Valverde is probably one of the sturdier AL relief options, not that I'd necessarily target him. Scott Sizemore's probably going to be expensive in LABR, but worth a late look in mixed leagues where he'll be cheap for his power/speed contributions.
I like Brandon Inge off the awful second half and losing catcher eligibility - he'll be dirt cheap and now that he's getting healthy again could go 25-80-.260. I've already noted that I think Mags Ordonez will be a good value - solid second half, consistent, long-term producer. Johnny Damon better run more because his homers should drop. Austin Jackson, I'm agnostic on. Carlos Guillen will probably be worth a look at his likely price in AL leagues - I'd chalk last year's struggles up to a shoulder injury.
