If I'm going to own a White Sox pitcher, it'll probably be Gavin Floyd - improved his control, his dominance and induced more ground balls. And at 27 he can still get better. I'll let someone else guess how much worse Jake Peavy will be outside of Petco.
I'd be happy to settle for Bobby Jenks as a lower-middle tier closer - he's survived some ugly peripherals and nagging injuries and still has the job. Paul Konerko is still a solid late-round first baseman - not a ton of upside, but 30 HRs and a fair average are doable.
The team's outfield is the most interesting to speculate on. Juan Pierre should get 600 at-bats, hit .300 and steal 40 bags. I think he'll be a bargain in most leagues. Alex Rios is a good last year's bum in a better park, and Carlos Quentin could have a monster year if his foot is really okay. I could see myself owning all three. Even Andruw Jones is intriguing as a corner OF/DH in AL-only leagues - 20 homers would not surprise me.
A.J. Pierzynski is a great second catcher in a mixed league - as consistent as they come.
