After years of squabbling with the Cowboys over his contract, his playing time and his parking space (OK, the last one is a joke... I think) Greg Ellis finally got cut loose by Dallas and signed with Oakland. It was a uniform he was born to wear.
For instance, on a radio show this week Ellis claimed that DeMarcus Ware had his back last season, to the extent that Ware would take himself out of games so that the coaches would be forced to play Ellis.
There's just one problem with Ellis' story of his teammate's "loyalty". It's complete fiction. The stats show that Ware played in 1021 of the Cowboys' 1046 defensive snaps in 2008 (and 10 of the ones he missed were due to a knee injury). Ware was on the field for the Cowboys over 97|PERCENT| of the time!
It's pretty clear that Ellis is Al Davis' kind of player: somewhat talented, aging and delusional.
