I know I'm late to this party, but I've been watching it a fair amount the last few weeks, and I have to say it's pretty great - at least the game-night updates and highlights.
It's enough for the fantasy owner to scrap the MLB package almost, an issue they might have to grapple with at some point. Obviously, if you're a fan of a team from another city, and you get the package just to watch that team's games, there's no conflict, but if you just want to take in a lot of the action, the MLB network is probably enough.
Also, it's far better than the NFL network which, except for the Thursday night games, doesn't really break new ground. (You can get most of their stuff elsewhere).
Finally, the MLB Network crew is much better than ESPN's. Tonight when Luis Castillo dropped ARod's routine pop up that led to the game-winning runs, and Yankee announcer Michael Kay called ARod a hero, one of the guys called Kay out saying that was ridiculous and that Mark Teixeira who hustled all the way from first to score the winning run was the hero, and to call ARod the hero for a pop up was demeaning to the player. Can't imagine that kind of straight talk on Baseball Tonight.
