Just a few things that caught my eye:
- #SharkWeek starts Sunday, June 26. Will the promos on the Discovery Channel include a tribute to Lord Stanley?
- Vladimir Tarasenko. Too little, too late. Joel Ward, on the other hand -- BAM!
- The loss was not Brian Elliott's -- he kept the Blues in the games at points when they shouldn't have been there.
- Bottom line? The Sharks' best players were consistently better than the Blues' so-called best. Night in and night out. Joe Pavelski, Logan Couture, Brent Burns and Joe Thornton all put up more points this postseason than the Blues' top player. And that's just the offensive side of the game.
- Sharknado 3 -- Oh Hell No!! "A monstrous tornado unleashes ravenous sharks from Washington, D.C., all the way down to Orlando, Florida." That means the Sharkies will have their way with the Bolts if they face them, but the Pens will eat them up. The Sharks clearly have no power north of D.C.
- I gulped when Martin Jones gave up that second goal. Why? James Reimer is his backup and I still remember Optimus Reims implosion in Game 7 against Boston a few years back. I was having "what if" visions and they weren't good.
- Anyone else find it funny that the best and deepest division in hockey didn't produce the Western Conference finalist?
