Just a few things that caught my eye:
- Joe, Joe and more Joe. Everyone needs a Little Joe. And some Jumbo Joe. Depends on the day ... and the need. Joe Pavelski, Joe Thornton and hey -- I'll throw in Joel Ward, too. Close enough.
- Has anyone seen Vladimir Tarasenko (above), other than on one of those old-school milk cartons? He's been missing since May 15. Wow.
- Nikita Kucherov's dominance continues, as does the Triplets' Line. Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat and Kucherov have been the postseason's best, other than some of those Joe guys. #PerfectCombination
- Andrej Sustr was instrumental in the Bolts' first two goals Saturday night. Big man. Quiet, quiet game.
- Andrei Vasilevksiy has done his job. So has Matt Murray. So WTF was Marc-Andre Fleury doing in the blue paint Saturday. Rusty is not a feature you want in a Game 5 matchup. Seriously. Does Mike Sullivan have the onions to do what's right?
- Robby Fabbri entered Monday's game as the Blues' leading playoff scorer with three goals and 14 points in 18 games. He left with four goals and 18 points. At 20. Dude has a pretty sweet beard for a kid.
- Back to Tarasenko. He entered play Monday with a team-leading 58 shots this postseason, third-highest in the NHL. But after firing six shots in Game 2, the sniper has been held to two shots in Game 3 and just one in each of games four, five and six. GULP.
- Evgeni Malkin is channelling his best Mark Messier with a Game 6 win guarantee. Sounds like the kiss of death to me -- he's not exactly at the top of my leader list. You?
- Speaking of Malkin, his last multi-point game was April 21. Yah, that's a month ago!
- Trevor Daley's ankle is busted. In other news, Ben Bishop -- the guy who might as well have been shot from the grassy knoll -- continues to practice.
