Now that Gordon's been suspended 16 games, I'll obviously have to modify my initial fifth-round pick designation. I don't necessarily feel I handicapped it wrongly at the time (maybe I did, but him losing was always a plausible outcome.) Either way, the turn card came up blank, and now we're down to the river,  so we must adjust our odds accordingly. For now, I'm recommending you take him in the 12th or 13th round (you might be able to get him later, but at that point, just make sure you get him) because he could still prevail against the NFL in court should he decide to sue.

And if you already drafted Gordon, hang onto him for now - you can always drop him in the next few days if he decides not to sue, or the court declines to enjoin the suspension. If you think that's crazy ask yourself whether you'd take a bet that some receiver outside the 13th round has a better chance to finish as a top-25 WR than Gordon. Gordon simply needs to sue and win. The other receivers in that area have to win jobs, get targets and display skills they've not yet shown. We don't know the odds Gordon will decide to sue (think they're probably good given the incentives), and we don't know whether he'd prevail if he does (if he had no case why didn't Gordon's team try to settle then?), but I'd take them over Cody Latimer scaling the entire Denver depth chart or Brandon LaFell becoming the man in New England.
