ANALYSIS
After being let go by the Knicks in mid-November, Kuzminskas has been shopping himself all over the NBA, but couldn't find a suitor willing to give him a shot. Instead, he'll head back overseas and play in the EuroLeague, which isn't a new concept for him. It's unclear if that deal includes an NBA buyout clause, though either way, it appears Kuzminskas is set to remain overseas for the foreseeable future. Kuzminskas averaged 6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist across 14.8 minutes in 68 games last year with the Knicks.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2017
2016
Kuzminskas had a solid rookie year after coming in with low expectations. He ended up playing 68 games for the Knicks and earned a spot in the regular rotation on most nights. While he averaged just 14.9 minutes, Kuzminskas proved to be a fairly efficient scorer, averaging 6.3 points during limited court time. He also added 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist, while shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from deep. He could certainly use some improvement on the perimeter and he doesn't do much other than score, though that could change if he's given more playing time. With Carmelo Anthony expected to be traded from the Knicks prior to the upcoming season, that could give Kuzminskas the opportunity to see the court more. Without Anthony, Kuzminskas would likely jump up to being one of the first options off the bench at small forward. Guys like Tim Hardaway, Lance Thomas and Courtney Lee would be his main competition, though either way, Kuzminskas' minutes should be on the rise. While the added playing time could mean bigger numbers across the board, it's unlikely Kuzminskas becomes a consistent Fantasy threat, so temper expectations for the sophomore Lithuanian.
Kuzminskas, a 26-year-old forward from Lithuania, joined the Knicks on a two-year deal during the offseason following a successful three seasons in the Spanish ACB League. At 6-foot-9, Kuzminskas brings good size to the small forward spot and is lauded for his ability to finish in traffic, but it’ll be tough to count on him to provide an immediate impact as he adjusts to the increased speed of the NBA game. On an encouraging note, Kuzminskas thrived on the international stage this summer, averaging 10.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in the 2016 Summer Olympics, highlighted by 23- and 17-point efforts against Argentina and Spain, respectively. He may turn into somebody worth tracking for fantasy leagues as the season progresses, but to open the campaign, he’ll likely occupy a low-minute role behind starter Carmelo Anthony.
