Despite being a jack-of-all-trades, Williams continues to play limited minutes off the bench in Oklahoma City. After averaging at least 21.0 minutes per game in each of his first five years, Williams saw his playing time cut to just 14.9 minutes per game during the 2023-24 season. This resulted in a career-worst ranking of 325, potentially a glimpse of what to expect for the upcoming season. The Thunder are poised to contend for multiple years, and although Williams can fill several roles, his importance to the team could trend in the wrong direction. As the 10th or 11th man in the rotation, Williams' fantasy value is unlikely to change, meaning he can be safely ignored in all formats. Read Past Outlooks

Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
Kenrich Lo Williams was born in 1994 in Waco, Texas. He is the son of Cheryl Williams. Kenrich is nicknamed "Kenny Hustle". As a high school senior, Williams led University High School, also in Waco, to a 28-5 record, which included a district championship and an appearance in the 4A Regional I quarterfinals. The forward also earned District 8-4A defensive player of the year honors. He started his collegiate career at New Mexico Junior College but transferred to TCU after his freshman year. While at TCU, Williams majored in sociology. After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Williams started his NBA journey as a member of Denver's 2018 Summer League team in Las Vegas. Fans can follow the Texan on Twitter (@williamskenrich). Williams went from being not recruited to a Division I school to earning All-Big-12 Second Team honors over the course of five seasons. He attended New Mexico Junior College as a freshman and averaged 10.1 points and 6.9 rebounds before making his way to TCU. The 6-foot-7 wing started 17 games in his sophomore season for the Horned Frogs and averaged 8.6 points and 6.7 rebounds. He missed the 2015-16 season after suffering a knee injury. In his return to the court as a redshirt junior, Williams led the Big 12 with 19 double-doubles and provided 11.4 points and 9.7 rebounds. TCU won the NIT and Williams contributed the first triple-double in school history with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in a win over Richmond. Williams was named NIT Most Valuable Player. In his senior season, he contributed 13.2 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.8 steals as TCU returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 20 years. He had 13 double-doubles, including four consecutive early in the season. Williams went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, but he would ultimately sign with the New Orleans Pelicans in July 2018 after a short stint with the Denver Nuggets during that year's Summer League.

FOklahoma City Thunder
November 12, 2024
Williams (knee) played six minutes off the bench in Monday's 134-128 win over the Clippers, finishing with three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and one assist.
ANALYSIS Williams had missed the Thunder's first 10 games of the season while completing his recovery from knee surgery, but he returned Monday to provide a healthy body for an injury-ravaged Oklahoma City frontcourt. Head coach Mark Daigneault didn't turn to Williams for major minutes, however, as he instead relied heavily on small-ball lineups, including a starting five featuring the 6-foot-5, 211-pound Jalen Williams at center. Kenrich Williams could see his playing time pick up in the games to come, but the Thunder are still likely to rotate several different players at center until Isaiah Hartenstein (hand) likely makes his return in late November or early December to bring more stability at the position.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2019
After two relatively uneventful seasons with the Pelicans, Williams was able to find somewhat of a stable role with the Thunder. He appeared in 66 games (the most of his career) and averaged 8.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 21.6 minutes. He also cleaned up his efficiency massively, shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from three. That resulted in Williams ranking 159th in total fantasy production -- the highest mark of his career by more than 100 spots. During his first two seasons in the NBA, about 81 percent of his shots were assisted, and that rate dropped to 58 percent last season. The 26-year-old could be in line for a similar role this season, though he doesn't figure to be a focal point of the Thunder's rebuild compared to players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Lu Dort, Aleksej Pokusevski and rookie Josh Giddey. With that in mind, Williams is probably only worth draft consideration in the deepest of leagues.
Williams wasn't drafted in June 2018 following a solid three-year career at TCU, so he went about making an NBA name for himself the old-fashioned way. The 24-year-old admittedly couldn't come close duplicating the shooting efficiency he'd demonstrated in his college days (47.7 percent or better from the floor in all three seasons), as he drained just 38.4 percent of his attempts. However, Williams unexpectedly played in 46 games and was part of the starting five from Feb. 4 until the April 9 season finale. Williams finished with averages of 6.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steal across 23.5 minutes. The Pelicans then sent Williams for additional seasoning in the Las Vegas Summer League, where he contributed 9.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals across 28.2 minutes over five games. The landscape looks vastly different in New Orleans heading into the 2019-20 campaign, however, as the team has been almost completely remade thanks to the massive Anthony Davis trade with the Lakers that netted Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart, the arrivals of capable veterans J.J. Redick and Derrick Favors, and the selection of Zion Williamson with the first overall pick. Redick and Ingram particularly impact Williams, who played most of his minutes last season at small forward. The 6-foot-7 Williams can also fill in at power forward, but Williamson will naturally see plenty of minutes and Turkish League import Nicolo Melli could well slot in as his primary backup.

Williams is dealing with a groin injury but is expected to be available for Opening Night, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.
ANALYSIS Williams should see decent minutes at both forward spots for the Thunder, and there's no question his availability is something positive for the rebuilding franchise. He averaged 7.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game during the 2021-22 regular season.
