$Signed a two-year, $10.31 million contract with the Magic in July of 2023. Contract includes $5.53 million team option for 2025-26. The Magic picked up Howard's team option for 2025-26 in October of 2024.
Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Jett Howard is the son of Juwan Howard, a former NBA All-Star and Champion, who coached him at Michigan. Howard started 28 of his 29 appearances as a one-and-done freshman, averaging 14.2 points on 41/37/80 shooting, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 31.7 minutes. Those numbers earned him a selection onto the All-Big Ten Third Team (Coaches) and the All-Big Ten Freshman Team. He posted season highs of 34 points, seven threes, seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and four blocks. Before college, Howard was a four-star recruit and was invited to both the Jordan Brand Classic and Iverson Roundball Classic. Howard is first and foremost a three-point shooter, whether it be off of standstill catch-and-shoots or even movement with the basketball. He can also pump-fake and drive into mid-rangers and floaters, but if help defense pushes up, his passing ability helps create good looks for his teammates. Howard's good length for a wing allows him to shoot over contests. Howard's ability to knock down threes and secondary playmake could make him a plug-and-play option for most teams, especially those in need of perimeter shooting off the bench. His game is comparable to a more three-point oriented Chandler Parsons or a bigger Tim Hardaway Jr. Teams can run plays for Howard, or he can find action in the flow of the game - both are useful in NBA settings.

Pops for 10 points Tuesday
FOrlando Magic
December 10, 2024
Howard finished Tuesday's 114-109 loss to Milwaukee with 10 points (3-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and one assist across 12 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Howard scored double-digit points for just the fourth time this season, a campaign during which he has thus far failed to produce many highlights. Even with Orlando's two best players sidelined, Howard has been unable to step into a consistent role. The Magic are in a tough position, being a team that wants to develop their young players but also wants to win as many games as possible.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Despite his upside as a legitimate perimeter threat, Howard is going to find it tough to play a consistent role for the Magic this season. The son of NBA All-Star Juwan Howard, Jett was taken with the 11th overall pick in the draft. While his offensive game should at least keep him relevant, deficiencies on the defensive end could be an issue. With Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero firmly established as the starters, Howard will be battling for backup minutes alongside Joe Ingles, Jonathan Isaac and Chuma Okeke. He is unlikely to see the court on a nightly basis but could slide into an increased role if the Magic once again fall out of playoff contention later in the season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Showcases self-creation in G League
FOrlando Magic
January 16, 2024
Howard is generating 1.065 points per possession when initiating Osceola's pick-and-roll this season, which ranks in the 93rd percentile among all G League qualifiers. His overall points per possession rank in the 67th percentile.
ANALYSIS
Howard's 22:30 assist-to-turnover ratio and 3.5 rebounds per game across 10 G League appearances are underwhelming, but the rookie is showing flashes of impressive bucket-getting. His 54.5 percent effective field-goal percentage ranks in the 63rd percentile among all G League players, but improving his 8.3 percent foul rate -- 32nd percentile -- marks the next step in his scoring evolution.
