Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Learn more about Robinson by following him on Twitter (@Rome_Coldbucks1). For three seasons, Robinson provided stability and scoring to the Boston College backcourt. The 6-foot-4 guard started as a freshman and averaged 11.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He missed a month of his freshman season after injuring his wrist but returned in early March. Robinson took off as a scorer in his sophomore campaign. He led the Eagles with 18.7 points to go with 3.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game. The guard had a season-high 32 points in a win over Sacred Heart, but his scoring exploits did not help BC in the ACC, as the team won only twice. The Eagles were more competitive in 2017-18 with Robinson and fellow guard Ky Bowman provided a scoring punch. The junior led the squad with 20.7 points. He exploded for 46 points in a loss to Notre Dame. The Eagles were invited to the NIT, where Robinson scored 17 points in a loss to Western Kentucky. After three seasons at Boston College, he opted for the 2018 NBA Draft and was selected 13th overall by the Clippers.

ANALYSIS A 2018 first-round pick of the Clippers, Robinson was out of the NBA for the entirety of the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons before he resurfaced with the Warriors on a two-way deal in 2023-24. Golden State opted not to renew his contract for the 2024-25 season after he averaged 1.4 points and shot 33.3 percent from the field in 3.7 minutes per game over his 22 appearances during his lone campaign with the Warriors.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2020
2018
After playing a minimal role for the Clippers as a rookie in 2018-19, Robinson saw similar usage in his second season, taking the court just 11.3 minutes per contest. He saw his role increase dramatically after a late-season trade sent him to Washington. In 21 games with the Wizards, Robinson's playing time more than doubled, and he provided career highs in nearly every statistical category as a result. Robinson averaged 9.4 points, 3.3 boards, 2.0 assists and 1.4 triples across 24.0 minutes, drawing five starts in the process. Robinson will return to Washington for the 2020-21 season where he projects to see a more regular run off the bench than he did with Los Angeles. His three-point shooting gives him deep-league appeal, but he's not a player to target in 12-team leagues.
Robinson was one of the more polished shooters coming into the draft this year after a three-year collegiate career at Boston College. In his final season with the Eagles, Robinson shot 48.5 percent from the field and 40.8 percent from deep, so he was extremely efficient and has the tools to carve out a long career in today's NBA. In addition, Robinson averaged 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists, while knocking down 2.3 three-pointers per game. Where exactly he'll slot into the Clippers' rotation after being drafted with the 13th overall pick is still a bit unclear. At shooting guard, the Clippers have both Avery Bradley and Lou Williams, though Williams can play the lead ball-handler at times, which could create some opportunities for Robinson to get some run with the second unit. Still, Robinson likely won't see more than minutes in the teens most nights, so he'll be off the radar in anything but dynasty leagues. As of now, look for Robinson to provide a sharp-shooting presence off the bench on the wing and he could earn more looks later in the season if he excels when given playing time.
