Livers played only 52 games last season, limited by a shoulder injury. He ended as the 248th-ranked player in nine-category leagues, averaging 6.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.5 blocks and 1.4 three-pointers. He started his final 12 games of the season, and yet still failed to produce anything of note. The Pistons, despite still being in a rebuilding phase, have added some depth during the offseason. Livers will be competing with Ausar Thompson, Joe Harris, Bojan Bogdanovic, Isaiah Stewart and Marvin Bagley for minutes, providing very little certainty when it comes to his ongoing role. While it is only his third season in the league, the immediate future is not bright. Managers need not concern themselves with him in standard leagues.
Livers was selected by the Pistons with the 42nd overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Livers is a sharpshooting combo forward. He made 2.2 threes per game at a 43.1 percent clip as a senior at Michigan. He's coming off of foot surgery, so it's not clear exactly when he'll be ready to step on the court with Detroit. When he does, he might not be an every-game player.
