The Trail Blazers were severely hampered by injuries last season, allowing Brown to step into a more prominent role than initially projected. Despite the opportunity, Brown failed to capitalize, scoring in double digits just six times. His peripheral production also left much to be desired, so now that the team is fully healthy and ready to compete, Brown could struggle to see the floor outside garbage time.
Brown was selected by Portland with the 43rd overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. With the Longhorns last season, the 6-foot-9 freshman averaged 9.3 points and 6.2 rebounds in 26 games. The Blazers aren't especially deep, so there's a chance Brown finds himself playing a small role right out of the gate.
