After being a non-factor for most of his rookie campaign, Sensabaugh made an impact down the stretch while the Jazz 'rested' most of their rotation players in an attempt to get better lottery odds. From March 6 through April 14, Sensabaugh averaged 10.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 23.8 minutes per game. During that stretch, Sensabaugh scored 22 points twice and had one double-double. However, Sensabaugh's role will be drastically different to start Year 2. Lauri Markkanen, John Collins and Walker Kessler are expected to be healthy and handle the majority of the frontcourt minutes in Utah, leaving Sensabaugh to compete with fellow 2023 first-round pick Taylor Hendricks plus rookies Kyle Filipowski and Cody Williams for backup minutes. Sensabaugh and Hendricks presumably have the upper hand given their familiarity with the organization, but if someone stands out, there's no reason for the Jazz not to prioritize their development. While it seems like a clustered rotation, Sensabaugh is worth keeping an eye on just in case Utah decides to blow things up midseason. Markkanen's new deal makes him ineligible to be traded this year, but Collins and Kessler are very much on the trade block according to the offseason rumor mill. Read Past Outlooks

Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
Florida Mr. Basketball as a senior at Lake Highland Preparatory School, Brice Sensabaugh was a four-star recruit before committing to play for Ohio State. Named Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week three straight times, Sensabaugh came off the bench for the first eight games of his career before ultimately starting 22 of his 33 appearances. As a starter, he averaged 17.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 50/41/81. That led to the prospect being named to the All-Big Ten Third Team and Freshman Team. Sensabaugh is a big-bodied wing/guard who's aggressive in his pursuit to score. He's comfortable breaking opponents down off the dribble for mid-rangers, nailing catch-and-shoot threes and even punishing down smaller defenders in the post. He makes tough shots. Passing wasn't what he was asked to do at Ohio State, but he's shown good vision. Many sixth men in the NBA are shifty guards, but Sensabaugh could fill that role for an NBA team as a shorter Julius Randle or a bigger Joe Johnson. More focus on playmaking and defense could push him into starter territory. A team lacking an assertive bench scorer could benefit from his skillset.

November 8, 2024
Sensabaugh played the final 3:25 of Thursday's 123-100 loss to the Bucks, recording six points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and one rebound.
ANALYSIS The returns of Jordan Clarkson (heel) from a two-game absence and Lauri Markkanen (back) from a three-game absence left no room in the rotation for Sensabaugh, who didn't check into the game until the Jazz were trailing by 24 points late in the fourth quarter. Sensabaugh had played double-digit minutes in each of the Jazz's first seven games, but he ended up losing his spot on the second unit to Johnny Juzang, who will likely remain ahead of Sensabaugh in the pecking order for the time being after drilling three three-pointers in his 16 minutes Thursday.

Dan Bruno has news, notes and advice for managers looking to participate in Tuesday's massive NBA slate on DraftKings.
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Having missed the entire 2023 Summer League due to continued rehabilitation following left knee surgery, Sensabaugh will be coming into the regular season a step behind. He spent one season at Ohio State, where he averaged 17.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists, starting in 22 of his 33 games. The Jazz may very well view him as a part of their future, although that is unlikely to result in significant minutes during his rookie season. At this point, the only way he sniffs standard league value is if the team elects to shut down some of their proven assets should the results not go their way early in the piece.

Sensabaugh becoming a more well-rounded player is a trend to monitor before he enters Utah's NBA rotation, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Sensabaugh has spent the majority of the campaign with Utah's G League affiliate in Salt Lake City.
ANALYSIS Sensabaugh has compiled just 14 minutes of action across five NBA appearances this season, but he has been efficient at the G League level. His 0.919 points per possession ranks in the 55th percentile and his 62.6 percent finishing at the rim ranks in the 66th percentile among all G League qualifiers. However, with that in mind, coach Will Hardy noted that the rookie caring about "all the things that don't have to do with shooting" is the avenue to earning NBA minutes down the stretch.
