Jamaal Franklin

Franklin is entering his second season in the NBA but was waived by the Grizzlies late in the summer. Last year, he averaged 1.9 points, 1.1 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.1 blocks in eight minutes per game while appearing in 21 games. He shot 41 percent from the field on 1.9 attempts per game, 46 percent from deep on 0.5 attempts per game, and 100 percent from the line on 0.1 attempts per game. He appeared in only two playoff games for a grand total of four minutes and was outplayed by rookie shooting guard Jordan Adams at the Orlando Summer League. At the summer league, Franklin averaged 10.2 points (29% FG, 25% 3Pt, 75% FT), 3.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks through five games. Through 16 NBDL games with the Maine Red Ants last season, Franklin posted solid averages of 15.8 points (43% FG, 37% 3Pt, 88% FT), 5.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 28 minutes per game. Until he signs with a new team, it's unclear how much fantasy value he'll have, but it'd take a unique situation and a desperate team for Franklin to be of use in anything more than the deepest of leagues.
