After being thrust into a large role in the Clippers' rotation for 30 games in 2017-18, Wallace took on a much-reduced role across his 62 appearances last season. He averaged just 3.5 points and 1.6 rebounds across 10.1 minutes per game. This offseason, with the additions of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, Wallace was bumped from the roster but picked up by the Timberwolves off waivers. However, even on a new team, Wallace's opportunities aren't likely to expand. Between Andrew Wiggins, Josh Okogie, newly-acquired Jake Layman and rookies Jarrett Culver and Jaylen Nowell, Minnesota boasts plenty of wing depth, which, barring injury, will likely leave Wallace out of the rotation for majority of the 2019-20 campaign.
