2015 Fantasy Outlook
McAdoo left North Carolina a year early but was disappointed when he went undrafted. He never developed into a dominating force for the Tar Heels during his sophomore or junior years, and that apparently was noticed by those in charge of drafting. His range was too limited, and in the era of the pick-and-pop stretch-four, McAdoo wasn't cutting it. Shooting is an obvious area on which he needs to work. He hooked on with the Warriors as an undrafted free agent and played well for the team's D-League affiliate in Santa Cruz. He eventually landed on the parent roster, signing a couple of 10-day contracts before inking for the rest of the season. With the Warriors, McAdoo averaged 4.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in nine minutes per game through 15 games played. Because the Warriors won so often by double-digits, there was significant playing time for scrubs, and McAdoo accrued benefits from that experience. He wowed management during the summer league and has been working with Golden State assistant coach Ron Adams on his jump shot. After David Lee moved on, the backup power forward spot is there for McAdoo, provided his jumper improves and he can space the floor. That notion took a bit of a hit when the Warriors traded for Jason Thompson from Sacramento.
