Ayon recently re-signed with Spanish club Real Madrid on a three-year contract, EuroHoops.net reports.
ANALYSIS
Ayon attracted interest from many top European clubs, but decided to stick with the team that he helped lead to a Euroleague title in 2014-15. He was again one of Real Madrid's top players this past season, averaging 11.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. The 31-year-old is now two seasons removed from playing in the NBA and at this point appears likely to finish his career overseas.

Ayon was claimed off waivers from the Milwaukee Bucks to eat minutes, but has seen those decline in each of his first two NBA seasons. The gargantuan is an interior presence, but surprisingly does not block many shots for someone his size.
Ayon might win the starting center spot, but still isn’t a threat to be a major factor in the offense. Ayon averaged 5.9 points and 4.9 rebounds as a rookie in New Orleans last season, and has impressed Jacque Vaughn with his defensive presence. He’s not going to have any play drawn up for him, but he could post decent rebounding figures if he wins the starting job.
