Scottie Pippen: Lakers Could Be Interested
FFree Agent
February 19, 2007
The Lakers may have an interest in Pippen now that Vladimir Radmanovic (separated shoulder) is out for at least eight weeks. The Los Angeles Times reports that Lakers' star Kobe Bryant has also endorsed Pippen coming out of retirement to play in Los Angeles.
ANALYSIS
Pippen would help shore up the Lakers' depleted small forward corps, with both Radmanovic (shoulder) and Luke Walton (ankle) injured. However, Pippen reportedly has stated that he would prefer to play for Miami if given a choice.

2003 Fantasy Outlook
Pippen isn’t about scoring anymore, but still puts up decent fantasy numbers across the board. He averaged 10.8 points, 4.5 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game last season. Depending on your fantasy league’s rules, Pippen may only qualify as a guard as he played just five games as a forward in 2002-03. Head coach Bill Cartwright said Pippen would not be Jalen Rose’s backup at off-guard. That leaves point guard, where Jamal Crawford should be the team’s starter, or small forward. He’s a good source of assists from the forward spot.
