FanDuel NBA: Sunday-Monday Contests Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday-Monday Contests Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Barring an unforeseen miracle in these last two conference finals, this looks to be our last chance to get a Sunday NBA DFS lineup in action for this season. The good news is that the value plays are plentiful and provide a great chance to keep the top studs in your lineups for the two-day (Sunday-Monday) format.

Sunday-Monday Value Plays

Point Guard

Matthew Dellavedova, CLE, $3,400: Dellavedova has been tasked with manning the point guard position while Kyrie Irving continues to try to recover from a knee injury that forced him to sit out Game 2, and Dellavedova has more than held his own. He defers much of the ball handling to LeBron James, so Dellavedova's potential for assists is capped, but he's a capable three-point shooter (13 threes made in the 2015 playoffs) and will chip in with rebounding, making him a nice, sneaky play at his bargain-basement salary. He's a good shot to get 20 points or more on FanDuel.

Shooting Guard

Kent Bazemore, ATL, $2,400: This Atlanta swingman seemed to be in line for big minutes in Game 2 following DeMarre Carroll's knee injury late in the series opener. That never materialized, as Carroll somehow started Game 2 and gutted out 34 minutes, much to everyone's surprise. Still, Carroll clearly has limited mobility, and with Kyle Korver (ankle) now down for the remainder of the series, Atlanta will be forced to hand Bazemore a bigger role in Game 3. Bazemore's upside could be in the 30 fantasy-point range.

Small Forward

Trevor Ariza, HOU, $6,100: Despite throwing up back-to-back duds, Ariza still managed to average 20 FD points in the last two losses to Golden State. He's averaging 26.5 points on FanDuel during the playoffs this season and has cracked the 30-point mark six times thus far. Houston will need a big game from Ariza to help keep their playoff hopes alive Monday, and he's capable of doing just that. Ariza is easily the safest and most reasonably priced option at small forward Sunday.

Power Forward

Tristan Thompson, CLE, $5,600: Thompson has been getting the LeBron James treatment in terms of minutes, playing 40-plus minutes in three of the past four playoff games. Thompson has also been effective from a fantasy perspective, averaging 30.4 FD points in that same span. With Atlanta lacking the size up front to effectively compete in the paint, Thompson has turned into a double-double waiting to happen and provides a solid 25-point floor with upside.

Center

Andrew Bogut, GS, $5,300: Bogut has outperformed his salary on FanDuel for those who played him recently, scoring 35.6 fantasy points and 29.9 points over the past two games. Blocks are always a nice category to produce from since they are worth double points. Bogut has thrived in that area, posting 16 blocks in the past five games, with five of those blocks coming at home in Game 2 against the Rockets. Given Dwight Howard's expensive salary ($9,000) and Horford's questionable status (knee) Sunday in Cleveland, Bogut may be the safest play on the board at center Sunday.
