DraftKings Sportsbook: Wednesday NBA Picks

DraftKings Sportsbook: Wednesday NBA Picks

This article is part of our NBA Picks series.

Alex Barutha: Giannis Antetokounmpo over 12.5 rebounds vs. MIN + Jusuf Nurkic under 9.5 rebounds vs. MEM parlay (+300) -- DraftKings, 12:42 PM CT

This is a bet on some early-season rebounding trends continuing. The Wolves, who haven't even played an overtime game like 8 NBA teams have already, lead the NBA in opponent rebounds surrendered with 54.0 per game. Giannis is averaging 10.5 boards this season and averaged 11.0 last year. At the other end of the spectrum are the Grizzlies, who allow the fewest rebounds per game to opponents (38.7). Nurkic is averaging 12.0 boards this season and averaged 9.0 last year, but it would be far from shocking to see him grab nine or fewer boards against the likes of Steven Adams.

Nick Whalen: Bam Adebayo to have a double-double at Brooklyn Nets (-110) -- DraftKings Sportsbook, 12:30PM CT

Adebayo has comfortably notched double-doubles in all three games thus far, despite playing fewer than 30 minutes in two of those. Scoring-wise, Adebayo has put up 16, 17 and 20 points, respectively, while working his way to the line 19 times thus far. The rebounding tends to have more variance, but none of the Nets' big men -- LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul Millsap, Nicolas Claxton, Blake Griffin -- profile as plus matchups against Adebayo.

Joe Bartel: Mason Plumlee under 10.5 points (+100) -- DraftKings, 10:42 a.m.

Despite the fact Orlando ranks in the bottom third in terms of points allowed per game, they're surprisingly excellent at limiting opposing centers, giving up just 13.7 points to the position per game. The next closest is the Celtics at 16.7, which, you know, actually makes sense. Maybe there will be some regression to the mean, but I'm not sure it will happen Wednesday. Plumlee is only averaging 6.3 shots per game, but more importantly, the combo of Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs has been absolutely sieve-like in the backcourt, which should afford plenty of real estate for LaMelo Ball and company. I'll gladly take this under with the assumption Plumlee doesn't even need to be involved much given the litany of explosive options Charlotte has at guard.

Jacob Lebowitz: Desmond Bane OVER 2.5 Three-pointers made at Portland (+135) -- Draftkings, 12:15 PM CT

After a strong rookie season from beyond the three-point arc last season with the Grizzlies, Bane has once again started hot from the three-point arc. In his first three games this season, Bane has attempted 7.7 three-pointers each game, while he's made an average of 2.7 threes. Although Bane has only hit three or more three-pointers once this season, Memphis is going up against a Portland team that has consistently allowed lots of points to the Grizzlies. Last season, Portland allowed Memphis to score an average of nearly 120 points in each of their three games. Expect Bane to hit plenty of three-pointers Wednesday against a shaky Portland defense.

Michael Spero: Memphis Grizzlies moneyline against the Trail Blazers (+120) -- DraftKings, 2:33 PM CT

The Grizzlies are in Portland to take on Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers. Memphis comes into the game 2-1 while Portland boasts a 1-2 record to start the year. I think this Grizzlies team is the much better team here, and I expect Ja Morant and company to get the road win.
