DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

The NBA starts off the week with a light schedule Monday with only eight teams in action. There are still a lot of elite options to select from for your DraftKings entry though with the Rockets, Bucks and Thunder all in action. Here are some players at various price points who can hopefully help you end your night a winner.

Guards

Damian Lillard, POR vs. MIA ($9,300): The Blazers are rolling right now and Lillard has been one of the main reasons for their success, scoring at least 45.5 DraftKings points in six of his last seven games. He is tied for the tenth-highest usage rate (30.5%) in the league and averages 37 minutes per contest, so he's going to have a high floor most nights. He's not going to take his foot off the gas with the Blazers playing for home court advantage in the West, so look for another productive outing Monday.

C.J. McCollum, POR vs. MIA ($6,600): McCollum is a great running mate for Lillard, scoring at least 32 DraftKings points in five straight games. While most of his value comes from his ability to score, he is averaging a career-high four rebounds per game this season. He sees heavy playing time like Lillard, averaging 36 minutes per contest. He should have enough opportunities to provide value at this mid-tier price Monday.

Ben McLemore, MEM vs. MIL ($5,300): The Grizzlies will have limited depth in their backcourt again Monday with Tyreke Evans (ribs), Andrew Harrison (wrist) and Mario Chalmers (hamstring) all out. McLemore has played at least 30 minutes in four of his last five games as a result of their injuries, scoring at least 29.5 DraftKings points in all four of those contests. His price has been climbing, but it's still low enough to consider him for your entry.

Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at MEM ($10,800): Giannis continues to have one of the highest floors in DFS, scoring at least 50.5 DraftKings points in four of his last five games. He went through a brief stretch where he struggled from the field, but he is shooting 50% through give games in March. His 31.4% usage rate is sixth-highest in the league, so he should still be able to contribute enough Monday even if he sees limited minutes in the fourth quarter due the Bucks getting up big against the lowly Grizzlies.

Josh Richardson, MIA at POR ($5,300): Richardson has scored 27.5 DraftKings points or fewer in four straight games, logging fewer than 23 minutes in three of those contests. However, he should see more minutes Monday with Dwyane Wade (hamstring) sidelined. In the last 10 games that Richardson has played at least 30 minutes, he is averaging 31.3 DraftKings points. The price is right to take a chance on him Monday.

Davis Bertans, SA at HOU ($4,200): The Spurs will be without LaMarcus Aldridge (knee) on Monday, which should lead to added playing time for Bertans. Both Aldridge and Pau Gasol have been banged up at times lately, which has resulted in Bertans scoring at least 20.3 DraftKings points in five straight games. His upside is fairly limited, but he's someone to consider in tournament play.

Centers

Marc Gasol, MEM vs. MIL ($7,500): The Grizzlies are playing for a top draft pick at this point and have started resting Gasol for certain games. He did not play Saturday against the Mavericks, but he should return Monday. He's been his usual productive self when he's on the floor, scoring at least 35 DraftKings points in six straight games. The Bucks allow the second-most DraftKings points per game (54.4) to opposing centers, so Gasol could be in line for a big performance.

Kelly Olynyk, MIA at POR ($5,600): Not only will the Heat be without Wade on Monday, but Hassan Whiteside (hip) is not going to play either. Whiteside did not play in Saturday's game against the Wizards, a contest where Olynyk scored 36.3 DraftKings points. With an expanded role likely in the cards against the Blazers, Olynyk is a viable cost-effective option for your entry.

Ed Davis, POR vs. MIA ($4,500): Davis is an excellent rebounder, grabbing at least 10 boards in five of his last six games. He played at least 20 minutes in all five of those contests, finishing with at least 20 DraftKings points each time. With the Heat down one of their best rebounders in Whiteside on Monday, Davis has a chance to control the glass and provide value at a cheap price.
