2025 Fantasy Outlook
DeLoach was part of the Gregory Santos deal and spent most of the season with Triple-A Charlotte where he displayed his athleticism with 20 steals before joining the big league roster. DeLoach has both accepted is walks and struck out in bunched throughout his minor league career and a PCL-aided 23 homers in 2023 is an outlier more than an expectation. DeLoach held his own against lefties in Triple-A last season, but it is worth remembering the gap between Triple-A and major league pitching is more extreme these days. However, the situation being what it is in Chicago, everyone will get the opportunity to succeed or fail because the roster is mostly void of everyday talent and could be even worse should Lou Bob be dealt away. DeLoach's athleticsm is intriguing but if he does not start making more contact, the intrigue will quickly wane. Read Past Outlooks

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2021
A second-round pick by the Mariners in 2020 out of Texas A&M, DeLoach had a solid 2023 season with Triple-A Tacoma while hitting 23 homers with an .868 OPS, and the Mariners added him to the 40-man roster in November to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft. The 25-year-old was able to hit .286 over his 623 plate appearances in the Pacific Coast League, but he'll likely struggle to hit for average at the highest level due to the swing-and-miss in his profile, and he whiffed 173 times in 528 at-bats last summer. He does help compensate with his pop and a strong approach at the plate as seen in the aforementioned homers along with 83 walks, and he's fast enough to steal 10-plus bases if he receives regular playing time. DeLoach likely opens the 2024 season back in Tacoma, but he'd be worth monitoring if/when the Mariners gave him a chance to play before the campaign closes.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Chance at platoon role?
Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com listed DeLoach as a potential option to fill the small side of a right-field platoon for the White Sox in 2024.
ANALYSIS
DeLoach, who was acquired from the Mariners on Saturday, has yet to make his MLB debut but posted a .286/.387/.481 slash line at the Triple-A level last year. The 25-year-old hit left-handers particularly well with a .905 OPS, which could make him an ideal platoon partner for the lefty-hitting Dominic Fletcher.
