Parsons returned to MLB after spending the prior two seasons with the NC Dinos in the Korea Baseball Organization. He signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays in May, ostensibly to provide organizational depth. Parsons started 17 games for Triple-A Buffalo, recording a 4.52 ERA and 1.39 WHIP. He was rewarded for his efforts with a start against the Rays on the last day of the season. Parsons took one for the team, absorbing nine runs in four innings. He may latch on with another organization, but Parsons has never shown any indication that he can succeed at the major league level.
