2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Armed with one of the better fastballs among minor-league starters, Ullola finished the year with a 3.81 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 70 strikeouts over his final 54.1 innings, including one start at Triple-A to close the year. Even amid that success, he walked 30 batters (5.0 BB/9), but Ullola was effective enough in 2024 that he'll be developed as a starting pitcher for at least another season. Ullola's 14 percent walk rate on the year is his best mark to date, so he's trending in the right direction. His mid-90s fastball has excellent movement and misses bats in the zone. His upper-80s slider/cutter is his go-to secondary offering while his curveball and changeup lag behind. He finished with a career-high 130.1 innings on the season, which is another key datapoint for the 22-year-old. He is not yet on the 40-man roster, but Ullola is Houston's best pitching prospect, and he'll open the year at Triple-A so he'll be one call away if help is needed in the rotation this summer. If his command is really poor at Triple-A in 2025, he could be ticketed for late-inning relief work in 2026. Read Past Outlooks
Strong summer at Double-A
Ullola has a 3.88 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and a 67:29 K:BB in 58 innings over his last 12 outings for Double-A Corpus Christi.
ANALYSIS
The hard-throwing righty has a 4.49 ERA for the year, but he's been more consistent since the calendar turned to June. Ullola's 13.5 percent walk rate on the year is his best mark to date, so he still needs to improve his control to make it as a starter at the highest level, but things are trending up. He sits at a career-high 106.1 innings on the season, which is another key datapoint for the 22-year-old.
