Kenny Rosenberg

Rosenberg spent the early part of his professional career as a starter before transitioning to the bullpen with Triple-A Durham in 2021. He did well as a reliever, but after the Angels claimed him off waivers during the ensuing offseason, they chose to move him back to into a starting role. The left-hander pitched well enough (3.16 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) at Triple-A last year to get his first major-league call-up, and he ended up hurling 10.2 frames, allowing five earned runs and posting an 8:6 K:BB. Rosenberg's fastball sits in the low-90s, so he'll need to balance it with his other offerings -- primarily a changeup and a slider -- to be effective in the majors. The change is his best pitch of the bunch, but there's nothing that truly stands out in Rosenberg's arsenal, giving him a pretty low ceiling. He was designated for assignment in December, so it's unclear if he'll be back in Los Angeles next season. If he returns, there's a slim chance he could compete for the sixth-starter job, but he's more likly to begin the campaign back in the minors.
