Past Fantasy Outlooks
2016
2010
Valdez has an outstanding arm and can touch the high-90s with his fastball. He was 4-5 with five saves and a 3.32 ERA in 42 appearances with Triple-A Toledo in 2015. Valdez was called up in late July, but was flat-out torched by the Orioles and was returned to the minors almost immediately. But his return in September held more promise. Valdez allowed seven hits, two runs and a 4:3 K/BB rate in 9.0 innings once rosters expanded and that was enough to put him in the hunt for a bulpen spot for 2016.
