Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2021
Vosler has yet to establish himself at the MLB level, playing just 77 career games through his age-28 season, but his .228/.306/.421 line could give him another chance. He posted a respectable .265/.342/.469 slash line in 111 big-league plate appearances for the Giants last season, which suggests he could find a role on the Reds' talent-depleted roster.
Vosler has yet to play a game in the major leagues, but that should change in 2021. Vosler was drafted and developed by the Cubs, but was sent to the Padres before the 2019 season for Rowan Wick. Vosler, like everyone else at El Paso, mashed, to the tune of a .291/.367/.523 line in a Chihuahua's uniform. That did not earn a promotion in 2019 and his bat could not crack the deep San Diego roster in 2020. He became a minor-league free agent and found a home up in the interstate in San Francisco. The 27-year-old could break camp with the Giants as a bench bat or go back to Triple-A and come back up should Evan Longoria's body fail him. Vosler hit 20-plus homers in 2017 and 2018 without the benefit of the El Paso environment, so in deep NL-only formats, he could be worth a reserve-round flier -- especially if you have rostered Longoria.

Working on outfield defense
3BSan Francisco Giants  AAA
September 21, 2022
In his most recent stint at Triple-A Sacramento, Vosler made improvements to his outfield defense, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.
ANALYSIS
The Giants recalled Vosler on Wednesday for his first action in the majors since Aug. 1. He's yet to appear in a game in the outfield for San Francisco this season but started 16 games in left for Sacramento. The 29-year-old's added defensive versatility is likely to lead to more playing time. In 23 games with the Giants this year, he has a .288/.351/.530 slash line with four homers.
