The fastest player to get drafted in the first few rounds of the 2020 draft (100th overall pick by the Dodgers), Vogel logged 80-grade run times as a high schooler and will be at least a 70-grade runner in his mid-20s. That speed should allow him to add value with his glove in center field. He also logged exit velocities in the 96th percentile, according to Perfect Game, so he brings more thump to the plate than one might expect, given his 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame. The Dodgers went to work on overhauling Vogel's swing at the alternate site, and the early returns were promising in the fall instructional league. His right-handed power and hit tool will both fall short of plus, but he could be a .270 hitter who hits 15 home runs and steals 30-plus bases if he maxes out. That's not a likely outcome, but it's in play.
