Gregory Infante

Infante made it back to the big leagues in 2017 after a six-year stretch where he was stuck in the minors, bouncing around between a handful of organizations. In addition to begin a nice story of perseverance, the results were actually pretty good, as he used his mid-90s fastball and hard breaking ball to give the White Sox 54.2 innings of a 3.13 ERA last season. Most notably, Infante kept his walk rate in check (3.3 BB/9), and that change enabled him to avoid another full season touring America's Triple-A cities. He's always had a live arm, but now he appears to have the ability to harness his arsenal more effectively. The White Sox will give him every opportunity to retain his roster spot in spring training, and the team has one of the clearest paths in the entire league for a reliever to take over the ninth inning unexpectedly.
