2024 Fantasy Outlook
A sixth-round pick in 2019, Bradford made his big-league debut last May at the age of 25. He rode the shuttle in the months that followed before settling in with the Rangers down the stretch. The left-hander was added to the roster in the postseason and ended up making a handful of playoff appearances, including a couple scoreless appearances in the World Series. While Bradford struggled occasionally with the long ball, he turned in a respectable 16.7 K-BB% with Texas during the regular season. He does not bring great velocity, though the heat plays up thanks to his extension, and he can pull the string on the changeup at 82.1 mph. Bradford also mixes in a slider as his main breaking pitch. The presumptive favorite for the fifth starter spot entering spring training, Bradford will have to perform in the Cactus League to secure the role. He will face stiff competition in the rotation if/when the Rangers get healthy later this summer. Read Past Outlooks
Runs up pitch count early
Bradford did not factor into the decision in a win over Oakland on Wednesday, allowing one run on six hits and three walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out four.
ANALYSIS
Bradford struggled with his command out of the gate, allowing two hits in each of the first two innings while also allowing a runner to advance on a wild pitch in the third. The southpaw was later relieved by Matt Festa with two outs in the fourth after the former reached 90 pitches on the night. Bradford has now failed to make it through four innings in two of his last three starts after previously going five or more innings in six straight. On a positive note, he's also given up one run or fewer in three of his last four outings.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Starting chance coming?
Bradford could be a rotation option for the Rangers during the final weeks of the season after Max Scherzer was ruled out for the season Wednesday with a shoulder strain, according to Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News.
ANALYSIS
Bradford has worked as a swingman in his first taste of the majors this season with six starts in 16 appearances, and he's been solid overall with a 4.03 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 40:11 K:BB across 44.2 innings. The 25-year-old would provide a younger alternative to the rotation than veteran lefties Andrew Heaney and Martin Perez, who have each had their share of struggles in 2023.
