Finishes season at Double-A
Nett was promoted from High-A Fort Wayne to Double-A San Antonio on Sept. 7.
ANALYSIS
Nett gave up one run on four hits and five walks while striking out three in 4.2 innings in his lone Double-A start against Springfield. The 22-year-old righty logged a 1.59 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 45:22 K:BB in 39.2 innings over his final eight starts for the Tin Caps. Nett finished strong and has a high-quality fastball/slider combo, but he will need to improve his control in order to make it as a long-term starter.
