Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could benefit from Haniger injury
Bishop could be a beneficiary for additional playing time in the wake of the core-muscle injury recently suffered by Mitch Haniger, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bishop got his first taste of the big leagues in 2019 and didn't fare very well, slashing .107/.153/.107 across 60 plate appearances over 27 games. However, the 26-year-old is considered a solid prospect and could now stand to benefit from extra playing time in the wake of Haniger's injury, which is expected to keep him out for at least 6-to-8 weeks. Bishop is capable of playing all three outfield spots, and left field is currently considered wide open with Haniger likely to miss the start of the season.
