The oft-injured Street began 2017 on the shelf for the Angels after injuring his lat in the spring. After undergoing a platelet-rich plasma injection, it was apparent he was going to be out awhile, so he was put on the 60-day disabled list. Street made his debut in late June, appearing in four games, tossing a scoreless frame in each before being shelved again, this time with a groin strain. While rehabbing, Street strained his rotator cuff, terminating his season with just those four appearances. The Halos declined to pick up Street's 2018 option, sending the 34-year-old former closer to free agency. The days of Street seeing ninth-inning chances are over, as is his fantasy relevance. In the best-case scenario, Street might latch on with a team hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with an eye on flipping him to a contender midseason.
