Past Fantasy Outlooks
2009
2005
Reyes, a switch-hitter, was signed by the Mets before 2008 as a minor-league free agent out of the Indians' organization and hit .290 for Triple-A New Orleans to earn a promotion. He saw some action at second base and provided a serviceable glove but little at the plate. He'll compete for a utility role this spring.
Began his professional career in 2003 with rookie league Burlington and hit .276 with an OPS of .610 in 152 at-bats. Last year at Single-A Mahoning Valley, the 21-year-old upped his OPS to .695 in 324 at-bats. His patience at the plate needs to grow (22 walks in 476 career at-bats), but the Tribe love his speed (41 SBs) and his glove.
