Rest-of-Season Projections
Jimenez (knee) was activated from the disabled list at Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, the Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
Jimenez missed over three weeks due to knee tendinitis, and went 1-for-4 with a single in his return to the lineup Friday. He owns an impressive .306/.379/.541 batting line over 322 plate appearances for Buffalo this season, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him in the majors before September. Of course, he's also 31 years old with just 18 big league plate appearances to his name and a lengthy track record of minor league success. Much like teammate Mauro Gomez, Jimenez may be destined for a career of slugging baseballs at the Triple-A level.
