Cory Aldridge

Aldridge is only batting .222 through 50 games at Triple-A Salt Lake, but he now has five home runs and 11 RBI over his last four games. His three-homer game Sunday went widely unnoticed and he has now kicked in two more home runs on back-to-back days. At 33, it is unlikely that Aldridge is developing some hidden power. He could just be seeing the ball a little better this week. With the depth the Angels have in the outfield as well as first base and DH, we probably won't see him get a call-up, but you never know come September if there will be a need for a left-handed bat off the bench.
