Placed on temporary inactive list
Mieses was placed on the temporary inactive list Thursday, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Mieses is slated to play for the Dominican Republic during the Olympics, so he'll be away from Triple-A Worcester for several weeks. The 26-year-old has slashed .281/.368/.611 with 15 home runs, 35 RBI and 31 runs in the minors this year, and he should return to the Triple-A club once the Olympics are over.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
The 21-year-old has been brought along slowly since signing out of the Dominican Republic in 2013, but he enjoyed a breakout season in 2016 with 28 home runs and 78 RBI in 122 games for High-A Rancho Cucamonga. Mieses was able to take advantage of the hitter-friendly confines of the California League despite batting just .247 on the year. The athletic, spry Mieses can play all three outfield positions and has the build of a future major leaguer. Plate discipline remains a concern, however, as he fanned 147 times over that 122-game span. Is Mieses a legitimate power hitter, or was he simply a product of his environment last season? He will likely join Double-A Tulsa to start 2017 off, which will be a big test in terms of his future with the Dodgers.
