Wilfredo Tovar

Tovar was a September callup for the Mets, but he was used sparingly as an insurance policy in the infield during the final days of the regular season. The 23-year-old hit Double-A pitching capably and demonstrated an ability to make consistent contact (7.7% K%), but there isn't much in his profile to suggest that he'll be a regular at the big league level. Tovar has never slugged .400 at a minor league stop, and his only useful rotisserie asset has been an ability to reach double digits in stolen bases. Most likely, he'll end up as a glove-first utility player capable of handling multiple positions, but the Mets brought him up from Binghamton at the end of the season, making Triple-A Las Vegas his most likely home for 2015 until another September callup gives him a third taste of the big leagues.
