Rest-of-Season Projections
Cut loose by New York
Graham was released by the Yankees on Monday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2011 fourth-round draft pick attempted to revive his professional career in the Yankees organization last season to no avail. Graham could only muster a 6.64 ERA and a 2.14 WHIP in 20.1 innings pitched at Triple-A last season. Given this rough stat line, it doesn't seem like he'll be anything more than an organizational depth piece if he manages to find a new organization to call home.

Acquired by the Twins in the Rule 5 draft before last season, Graham spent all year with Minnesota in a swingman role. Despite a 4.95 ERA, Graham showed some promise with a 7.5 K/9 and 94.7 mph average fastball. He gave up too many long balls and walked a few too many batters. With his Rule 5 season behind him, the Twins can now send him to the minors. He'll compete for a bullpen job this spring, but the Twins may try to move him back to the starting rotation at Triple-A.
