Strausborger was transferred to Double-A Chattanooga on Monday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Strausborger had yet to play an inning with Triple-A Rochester due to a DL stint dating back to the beginning of the season, but with a new crop of players coming to the club in recent days, there was no room for the 29-year-old on the roster once he returned from injury. In his last game action, he batted .153 over 40 games with Seattle's Triple-A affiliate in Tacoma.

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Strausborger made his major-league debut in 2015 following a August promotion from Triple-A Round Rock. With Texas, Strausborger was primarily a late-game defensive replacement picking up 45 at-bats in 31 games, and is a candidate to serve in a similar role in 2015. However, the Rangers acquired James Jones from Seattle in the trade that netted Tom Wilhelmsen as well, and with Jones and Strausborger profiling as very similar players, there may not be room for both of them on the major league roster.
