Inks deal with Halos
Kohn has signed a minor-league deal with the Angels, Maria Torres of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
He did not get an invitation to spring training but nonetheless wanted to return to the team he made his big-league debut with in 2010. The 33-year-old righty has a high-spin fastball but has dealt with shoulder/biceps injuries over the past few seasons. He will serve as organizational bullpen depth.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2014
2012
2011
Kohn began the 2013 season at Triple-A Salt Lake after a rough spring training, but was recalled by the Angels mid-April and managed to stick with the big club from that point on. In terms of basic run prevention, Kohn had a solid season, posting an ERA of 3.74 in 53 innings pitched, but his peripherals are a bit more troubling. Kohn posted a 4.8 BB/9 last season to go along with a 54.4% flyball rate, suggesting that his ERA may rise if more of those flyballs begin turning into home runs. Kohn has a live arm, however, and has shown an ability to strike hitters out (8.9 K/9 last season), which should put him in the running to stick with the Halos on Opening Day.
