Past Fantasy Outlooks
2016
2015
A 6-foot-3 lefty, Ziomek does not have overpowering stuff, but he knows how to sequence and locate his pitches, as illustrated by his 143:34 K:BB in 154.2 innings at High-A Lakeland last year. He has not posted an ERA or FIP above 3.50 in two years of full-season baseball, and his 2.38 FIP last season was a career best. Granted, Lakeland's home park favors pitchers, as does the Florida State League in general, but his track record of preventing runs is still pretty convincing. Perhaps the most impressive part of Ziomek’s profile is his ability to keep the ball in the park -- he has given up just eight home runs in 285.2 innings as a professional. A second-round pick in the 2013 draft, Ziomek now projects to be a viable No. 4 starter, perhaps by 2017.
