Hand
June 18, 2014
Vettleson (hand) is currently rehabbing with the Nats' short-season Auburn affiliate.
ANALYSIS
He should be back in Double-A soon. The former Rays farmhand had just a .130 batting average through nine games before getting hurt, but Vettleson should be able to put up some solid numbers once he returns to Harrisburg.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2014
2012
Vettleson, a former switch-pitcher in high school, spent the 2013 season with High-A Charlotte. He had a productive year, hitting .274/.331/.388 with four home runs, 29 doubles, six triples, and 62 RBI over 121 games. He is expected to develop a little more power, and he has a strong enough arm to handle right field. Vettleson's stolen base numbers dipped, but he is expected to be an effective base-stealer down the road. Vettleson will likely move up the ladder and begin 2014 with Double-A Montgomery.
Vettleson put together a nice season for Princeton of the Appalachian League, finishing the season with a .282 batting average, seven home runs and 20 stolen bases. An exceptional athlete who can pitch with both hands, the Rays have decided his future will be in the outfield for the club. Look for him to start the season at Low-A Bowling Green with plenty of time to develop as a 20-year-old.
