Narvaez was able to secure a deal with the Mets after a down year for the Brewers in 2022, but he went down early with a calf strain and finished 2023 with a .580 OPS in just 49 contests. The veteran backstop was supposed to help bridge the gap to top prospect Francisco Alvarez, but the youngster ended up making 108 appearances behind the plate.
